Bekas Chemicals Private Limited Company manufactures synthetic detergents, cosmetic products, plastic packing materials, industrial surfactants, and putty, and handles import and wholesale of chemicals and related products in Ethiopia.

Established in 1994 and became operational in 1997, it is a family-based company with seven shareholders.

Its head office is in Addis Ababa, with branches in Adama city in the Oromia region and in Mekele city, Tigray region.

Addis Ababa is the head office and location of the putty and industrial products manufacturing plant, whereas at Adama and Mekele, liquid, powder, and bar detergents as well as industrial surfactants are produced.

Bekas Chemicals PLC has capital of about USD 3.2 million and an annual turnover of more than USD 10 million, employing about 600 staff.
